When we asked WIND AND SEA's Founder and Creative Director Takashi Kumagai where the name came from, his answer was this.

"It was back in the day at a surf spot in Windansea Beach in La Jolla, San Diego.

I had just gotten out of the water, feeling great after riding the waves.  That's when I saw the words "F**k you.  Go home!" sprayed across my car.

To say I was upset would be an understatement.  But that was also the moment when I swore to myself that one day I would use the name of that beach in a brand that I create.

And in 2017, with the feeling from that day still fresh within me, I started WIND AND SEA in Tokyo."

A powerful story, and obviously a serious motivator for Takashi's creativity.

It's no secret that we over here at Arvin Goods are big fans of Japanese style, and culture. When the opportunity popped up to do a collab with Mr. Kumagai and his WIND AND SEA team we jumped at it. WIND AND SEA was impressed by the quality of the socks we produce, and they have a shared belief in finding better ways to make everyday products.  This was a good combo and made this partnership very easy.

After a design meeting last fall in Tokyo our teams agreed to take the fresh branding of WIND AND SEA and place on two of our best selling classic Arvin Goods styles.  WIND AND SEA added their touch across packaging, and a crisp delivery bag.  Put all this together and you have a tight package of the cleanest socks to ever land in Japan.

The release is two colorways, white or black, in a limited two-pack consisting of one Crew Sock, and one Ankle sock. All are one size fits most.

A limited quantity of the products will be available in Japan through Wind & Sea on their site, at the flagship Tokyo Location, and through select retailers. In the US exclusively through www.arvingoods.com, and select retailers.
